Just a Thought for August 18
August 18, 2015Just a Thought for August 19
August 19, 2015No one particularly likes to get up at night and stumble through the darkness. Even a young child may feel more comfortable with a ‘night light’ on.
Light is something we take for granted. In our daily world we definitely need light. What about light for our hearts?
2 Corinthians 4:6 says “For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.” (NLT) It’s interesting how Paul starts in this verse with the author of light, God, and then shows us the impact and importance of His light for our spiritual lives. The God who told light to be, also made His light shine—flood—into our hearts illuminating the knowledge of His glory and honor which is seen in and through Jesus. Light—God’s presence—is ready to flood in and dispel all darkness and fear that you’ve experienced. Don’t stay in darkness without light.
It’s time to turn the light ON. Allow God’s overwhelming goodness, love, grace, and power to flood into your heart, your mind, and your life. Jesus is your Light.
