Blessed Be Our Rock

cross

In Psalm 18, David recounts his deliverance from Saul and his enemies. In verse two, he lists how God was his protection.

The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold” (Psalm 18:2 NKJV).

Salvation means deliver, rescue, protect, among other things. This is God’s promise to His children. He is the rock on which we build an unshakeable life. He is our strength through we can do all things. By His shield of faith we can quench all the fiery darts and arrows of the enemy. Jesus is the deliverer who came out of Zion. He has placed us in a high tower of refuge, a stronghold, to free from the attacks of the enemy. He has defeated the enemy.

He is God almighty who frustrates the plans of the evil and shows His children the strong arm of Jehovah. Jesus is Lord. Jesus is our strength and redeemer. Blessed be my Rock and the God of My Salvation.
