How Do You See Yourself?

how do you see yourselfI’m ‘vertically challenged’. In other words, I’m short or petite and I won’t get any taller. Most of my friends and my husband are taller than me. Even my 12-year old granddaughter is taller than me!

I recall a time not many years ago hugging a dear friend and her daughters at church and realized I was the short one, and I told them “I may not be tall on the outside, but I’m TALL on the inside!”

Are you tall on the inside? How do you see yourself as a believer? I hope no matter what you’ve been through or what you face, you see yourself as the Lord sees you—perfect and dearly loved.

It’s time to exchange our view of ourselves with God’s view of us. We’re too focused on “me, me, me” most of the time and fail to let God’s presence in our life shine through and overrule our thinking. It’s time to think God’s thoughts about you. You’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). You lack nothing because “you are complete in Him who is the head of all principality and power” (Colossians 2:10).

Get God’s picture on the inside of who you are in Him and you’ll stand tall.
