Rejoice in the Truth

 I think that very often we think God is just a smarter man like us that happens to do everything right. But has God said in Isaiah 55:8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD.” We really fall far short in our thinking about who God is and how He thinks. We do see glimpses of Him in the Word. We know that God is love and we see how love operates. He doesn’t like iniquity because He is the truth.

^“Does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth” (1 Corinthians 13:6 NKJV). All truth is wrapped up in Jesus (John 14:6). We only know truth as we know Jesus. “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ” (John 1:17).

It is truth that frees. The more you know Jesus the freer you become because you know truth. To rejoice in truth is to rejoice in the finished work of Jesus. God wants you to operate in truth because only in His truth will you find success and fulfillment in your life.
