Saguaro’s

saguaros

Earlier this year traveling across country, I enjoyed seeing the desert saguaros. These unique cacti are scattered across parts of Arizona and protected by law. They live 150-200 years and can be 40-60 feet tall, and weigh 3,200 to 4,800 pounds when sufficiently hydrated. These tree-like columnar cacti stand strong as desert sentinels no matter what they face. The saguaro reminds me of the Word and God’s power enabling us to stay strong no matter what we face or encounter in life.

Ephesians 6:10 says ‘finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. No matter what you face today, you are strong in the Lord and in His power because He lives within you.

Don’t concentrate on the obstacles you face. Hydrate yourself in the Word. Renew your mind in God’s love, goodness, and His yoke-destroying, burden-removing power. You are more than a conqueror through Him.

Remember the saguaro and stand strong in Jesus because He stands with you.
