Just a Thought for October 8October 8, 2015
Scripture is replete with what to consider. Abraham did not stagger at God’s promise with unbelief when told he would have a son. He considered God’s word, believing it, and received the promise (Romans 5:17-20). Jesus told His disciples to ‘consider the lilies of the field, how they toil not’, in other words ponder, examine, think upon how the lilies don’t work yet their beauty and need provided by God. He said the same about the birds of the air (Luke 12:22-32).
Jesus doesn’t want His children meditating and thinking on the negatives in life. His words and the Apostle Paul’s words encourage us to recognize that God is able to do beyond what we ask or think. How is that so? Because the power of His resurrection lives big in you and He is anxious to do more for you than you realize (Ephesians 3:20).
Consider that Jesus is well able to take care of you. Don’t limit what He will do. Trust Him. Believe His Word. It’s time for some reconsidering.
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us”, Ephesians 3:20 (ESV).
