Just a Thought for October 15
October 15, 2015Just a thought for October 16
October 16, 2015A family name can be important. It can speak of dignity, wealth, intelligence, creativity, or so many other things. I’m sure many well-known parents in days past reminded their children ‘don’t forget who you are’. In other words, behave and act according to your name.
Are you acting like the name you use to have—sinner—or are you walking in your spiritual name–child of God, dearly loved and highly favored. Don’t see yourself as a sinner, always prone to making mistakes. See yourself as God sees you—His child who wants to show you His goodness throughout your life. You are now the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Jesus reconciled us back to our Heavenly Father. Hebrews 10:10, 14 says it this way: “…we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once…for by one offering He hath perfected for ever those that are sanctified.”
Your spiritual roots are far more powerful than family roots and labels you’ve had. It’s time to recognize that you aren’t who you use to be.
Continue walking in greater revelation and understanding of God’s goodness to you. His work is ongoing and it gets better and better when you know WHO you are in Him!
