Have you ever gone on a ‘Treasure Hunt’? You know, where you only have a few clues and as you continue following them, you end up with the treasure.
There’s an amazing treasure within reach for you today; in fact, the treasure is in you. The Apostle Paul shares about this treasure in 2 Corinthians 4:7 (ESV). “(7) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;”
Paul states a fact first of all: we have. As a believer, you have God’s treasure within you. The word ‘have’ refers to your position in Christ. It’s a secured position, yours to hold and keep as God’s beloved child. This treasure is God’s presence, His residency in you. And it isn’t something that you have to hunt for because He lives in you. You’re not the old you with a face-lift. You’re a brand new you, a new person, transformed and indwelt by His power and love.
You can’t create the new you on your own because it’s a provision of God’s goodness, love, and grace. Walk in greater confidence and revelation recognizing God’s power, His treasure, in you.
