Trying to catch a butterfly
Love hopes all things. God is love so God hopes all things.
“Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things” (1 Corinthians 13:7 NASB).
Our hope comes from Him. He is the blessed hope. We hope in Him. But He also hopes in us. He will never fail us. He will continue to hope for our best through every situation we face. His hope is confident expectation for our good. He can go one step farther and work for our good and fulfill our hopes and dreams.
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13 NKJV).
His desires become our desires and His hopes become our hopes. Faith is a result of hoping. We also can hope for others. We express the love of God by hoping for the good of everyone we meet. Love is something expressed by giving. Love is giving hope to others.
Do you hope the best for others? Do you give only hope? God does. Love does.
