Just a Thought for October 5
October 5, 2015Just a Thought for October 6
October 6, 2015Consider is one of those words you have to consider—that is, study, ponder, examine, or think upon. What do you consider? An important reminder in our everyday activities is not to camp out in negative considerations—those negative situations or thoughts that you ponder over and over in your mind that lead you nowhere but leave you frustrated and anxious.
Considering that you can be prone to negative considerations, there are steps you can take to change your considerations and think on, ponder the uplifting truth of God’s Word that frees you. It’s a matter of changing how you think and think what God thinks. The Apostle Paul puts it this way in Philippians 4:8 (ESV): “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about [consider] these things.”
Don’t let the cares of today or tomorrow rule your thinking. Change your mind and on purpose think on God’s abundant blessings and provisions in your life because of His love and grace for you. Change negative thoughts and you’ll change your life.
