Possessing The Treasure

We’re looking at 2 Corinthians 4:7 (ESV) again today. “⁽⁷⁾ But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;”

A treasure hunt isn’t exciting or worth participating in if there isn’t a treasure to find. It’s important to see that you’ve indeed found the treasure as a born again child of God. Understanding why this is so vital in your Christian walk will enable you to walk through ‘stuff’ in life.

God’s ability, His abundance of supply, His ability has transformed your life. The more you walk in His finished work through Jesus, the more you’ll see and know by experience the surpassing greatness of God’s power in you. You can’t by your own strength ‘work up’ supernatural power or ability. Your abilities are limited. Paul defines God’s abilities as the surpassing greatness of the power of God operating in you and me.

You’ve found and have in your possession God’s deposit, His treasure. Continue focusing on His grace and what Jesus has provided for you and you’ll see greater and greater manifestation of this treasure in your life.
