Your physical heart is powerful. It is able to influence your entire body. Your spiritual heart is also powerful and able to influence your body and your mind, dictating the steps of your life. Proverbs 4:22 tells us to “keep your heart with all vigilance [diligence], for from it flow the springs of life.”
Your heart and what is stored in it will dictate the direction of your life. If you take negative, unbelieving truth into your thoughts and let them settle into your heart, your spring will not contain life. You’ll continually be behind the eight ball wondering why this is happening to you. Without a heart transformation, you’ll become negative on everything, including God. God wants you to trust Him with your whole heart because He is good.
The Psalmist knew the power of God’s Word in his heart, His law of love. He shares the result in Psalm 37:31- “The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slip.”
Notice that when God’s law—His Word is in your heart, you won’t slip and fall. Knowing the power of His love and grace will guard and establish you. Continue establishing your heart in His love and goodness.
