There’s so much more we can learn about not only hiding God’s Word in our heart so we won’t sin (Psalm 119:11) but the necessity and power of His Word of grace taking center stage in our heart—the place from which we believe and operate our lives. Is God’s Word only written on paper? No, but it is one mode by which we read and receive His truth. God’s Word is powerful, alive, and must reside in our heart or we’ll not be grounded but swayed by every opinion of man.
Before Jesus came and purchased forgiveness and redemption for us, God made a covenant, His promise, that His Word would be written in our hearts (Jeremiah 31:33) and He would no longer remember our sin (verse 34). Paul also shared this exciting truth in Romans 10:10, “for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”
So the question remains: where is God’s Word in your life? Is it written on your heart? Are you continuing to receive and write more of His grace on your heart and in your life? When His Word resides in your heart, you’ll be strong, immoveable, and filled with His power to touch your world.
