Not Forsaken or Destroyed

Sunrise over lake

Facing a time of ridicule and persecution is tough, but it doesn’t have to do you in. Paul was persecuted, struck down, and thrown in prison; yet, none of those things kept him down. He continually relied on the surpassing greatness of the power of God, the finished work of Jesus and His grace to come out on top. That’s why he shares in 2 Corinthians 4:9 that even if we face times of being persecuted or struck down, we aren’t forsaken and nothing will destroy us.

No matter what you face, God’s power residing in you through Jesus will be manifested. When you know that you know God’s Word is true…when you know that Jesus provides everything you need to live life to the fullest…even when you’re temporarily and seemingly struck down, you won’t stay there. Center your thoughts on His love and acceptance.

God’s power in you is greater than anything you face. Know that you are dearly loved by Him. Dig your roots down deeper in His Word amplifying the finished work of Jesus in your life. Don’t allow these temporary times to sidetrack you from walking in the surpassing greatness of God’s power in you. He will never leave or condemn you. You’ll make it.
