Just a Thought for November 20
November 20, 2015Just a Thought for November 21
November 21, 2015Anxiety will only lead you further into the depths of despair, worry, and fear. These build in the mind and if you allow your mind to be divided in what to believe, you’ll always be in a state of uncertainty and anxiety. But you don’t have to live that way! It’s time to change your mindset—how you think.
Again, the Stephen character (from A.D. 30 by Ted Dekker), shares with other characters about changing their minds to see the truth. He says, “Have instead a new mind set upon the kingdom. Do not be anxious but rather repent—see beyond your old mind…Only have eyes to see what is true beyond what you think. Trust the Father.”
Being anxious is the opposite of trust. Anxiety wrestles between two opinions. Jesus offers His peace, free of anxiety and fear. He said there’s no need to be anxious for anything (Matthew 6:34). The more you allow the truth of God’s Word to change your thinking, the sooner you’ll operate from a level of trust not anxiety.
Meditate on His goodness and change your mind in trusting Him. Anxiety will soon be a thing of the past.
