Just a Thought for November 24
November 24, 2015Just a Thought for November 25
November 25, 2015We’re digging into Psalm 100 (NIV) and learning more about how we should walk in thanksgiving every day, not just on Thanksgiving. Charles Spurgeon says that our admission into the court of the Lord is praise and thanksgiving. Because of God’s love, mercy, and grace, there is no longer a barrier and we now have immediate access into God’s presence through Jesus. We enter His gates and courts with thanksgiving and praise.
“4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” Thanksgiving is our confession and praise, a ‘thank-offering’, coupled with a heart attitude of being thankful for God’s unchanging character—His love, mercy, and grace.
When you know God’s love, His mercy and grace, your heart will be full of thanksgiving because it’s all about what He has done for you. The focus is not on you, your good works or faithfulness. It’s about what God offers you today and each day—all that He is. What He’s done enables your heart to rejoice in thanksgiving. Receive a greater revelation of Jesus in you and walk in a deeper dimension of thanksgiving today.
