The Wells of Salvation

Water is a necessity for life in our world. Without sufficient water your physical body will not function properly. Without sufficient water you can die. It’s easy in our modern homes to just go to the kitchen and get fresh water from our faucets. Where do you draw water?

I like the way Isaiah states it in Isaiah 12:2-3. “(2) … For the LORD GOD …He has become my salvation.” (3) Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation.” (NASB)

Are you drawing from the springs of salvation? It’s a picture of a fountain or a spring that has an endless supply of fresh water; but it isn’t limited to physical H₂O. It is springs of salvation and refers to an endless supply of victory, prosperity, deliverance, and health. In John 4 Jesus told the woman at the well that the water He had would become a spring of water welling up to eternal life.

Are you joyously drawing from these springs of salvation—all that Jesus has provided for you? His supply overflows and is unending. Don’t wait to draw all that you need today, this week, and next year.
