Trust In Christ Alone

“Bible reading and prayer are not wrong, and God forbid that we should suggest that they are, but it is wrong to trust even in them for victory. Our help is in Him who is the object of that reading and prayer. Our trust must be in Christ alone.” (Watchman Nee)

I’ve read many of Watchman Nee’s books. He was a profound influence in China and spent the last twenty years of his life in prison for his faith. Watchman Nee was a person that put Jesus above all else.

^“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV).

True transformation in our lives comes only by beholding Jesus. As we see Him we are changed into His image. We become like Him. The more we see Him in all His glory, we trust Him alone. Trust or faith that moves mountains comes through beholding Jesus. Seeing Him move mountains gives us the faith to do the impossible also.
