Your Rock and Deliverer

There is richness in the declaration of David recorded in 2 Samuel 22:2-3 (NIV):  “…The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my Savior…”

Even though the particular descriptive words expressed may not be what we ‘see’ in our world today, they still carry the meaning of God’s care for you and me. David expresses the ever-protecting ability of our God. God hasn’t changed. He is still your rock, fortress, deliverer, stronghold, refuge, and savior.

Your strong tower, your rock and strength, your protection and defender is Jesus, and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Be encouraged because He is with you no matter what you face. Run into your high tower, your refuge from life’s storms and let Him wrap His arms of love, acceptance, and protection around you. He is your deliverer. The rest of faith is believing and trusting Him because He is faithful and always has your well-being in mind.
