Abide In His Joy

Needing a little joy today or maybe a lot of it? There’s a simple remedy and it isn’t dependent on what you have or don’t have materially speaking. It’s dependent solely on one thing: where are you abiding? Jesus told the disciple in John 15:1,4,7: “I am the true vine, …abide in me, and I in you.” Abiding means to stay—to rest. Often, too much of our time can be filled with just trying to get some peace and joy in the midst of turmoil. You don’t have to stay in that place. You can on purpose relax and rest in Jesus. Rest in His Truth, His Love and Grace. The more you practice resting in His provisions and drawing on His strength and grace, the sooner you’ll have joy bubbling up in you. The joy of Jesus is full, overflowing, and abounding. Relax and let His joy bubble up inside of you and flow out to others.
