Change Your Mind About God

^“From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17). From the time Jesus began preaching, it was obvious that something was new, something was changing. In fact, little is even said about preaching. God called the prophets to preach. He called Jonah to preach to Nineveh. But a new era of preaching came into being through Jesus. Jesus came proclaiming truth straight from God Himself.

Repent means to change the mind. Jesus came to change the minds of people about how they saw God. Jesus preached a good God. Jesus wanted people to really see that God was for them and not against them. Jesus brought healing. Jesus put on display the attitudes and character of God. He began to say there was a new kingdom near—a king of a new kingdom was among them. Look at Jesus and see a good God who wants the very best for you.
