The Image of Transfiguration

We are changed when we see Jesus. He is like a mirror to us. “And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever-increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:18 AMP).

Change doesn’t come all at once. We are changed when we see the glory of the Lord. There is a constant transfiguration taking place all the time, changing us into the very image of Jesus our Lord. Little by little the work continues. Like planting a seed and watching it grow and we don’t know how, we are constantly changing as we behold the One who can change us into His likeness. Look to Word—Jesus—and be transformed.
