Just A Thought for February 13
February 13, 2016Just A Thought for February 14
February 14, 2016“And from Jesus Christ… Unto him that loved us…” (Revelation 1:5). Jesus did all He did for us because He loved us. The Greek tense is present active participle meaning the action began in the past and continues on today and forever. “To the one loving us” would be a good translation. Jesus loved us from the beginning before the foundation of the world. He loved us enough to go to the cross for us, and He loves us as He sits at the right-hand of the Father interceding for us. We cannot understand this love but only in partial measure.
“But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37 NASB). Through that love He has for us we are more than conquerors in all of life’s struggles. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. For God so loved the world. That’s why we can celebrate love.
