Jesus the Door

doors

In John 10:7 Jesus said He was door of the sheep. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture” (John 10:9). It’s interesting that Jesus said the door was for salvation—“if any man enter in, he shall be saved.” I remember a song when I was young which went “One door and only one, And yet its sides are two, Inside and outside, On which side are you?” The point here is that Jesus is the one and only door to salvation. You are either on the inside and have walked through the door by faith in the finished work of Jesus, or you are standing outside the door looking at it. “If any man,” or woman enter they shall be saved. ‘Will be’ is passive future tense which means when you walk in through the door of Jesus you are saved. Until you walk in there is still a chance you will be saved. I hope you are inside.
