A Picture of The Kingdom

Sunset at Beach

How did Jesus describe the Kingdom of God? He used picture descriptions (Mark 4:30-31). He painted a picture of the Kingdom so we could readily visualize it. More than the initial picture He painted is the finalization, the outcome of the Kingdom of God. He said the Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed. It starts out small but grows, increases, and eventually is able to shelter many, many birds. It’s like the ripples from a rock thrown in a quiet lake that multiply and touch opposite shores. That’s how His Kingdom should be operating in our lives. The more you live in His Kingdom, the more it will increase in your life. How do you do that? By receiving Kingdom nourishment from His Word, and allowing the Word to change your mind and settle in your heart. That’s when you’ll experience His Kingdom growing in your life, in your heart, and in your thoughts. Picture yourself strong in the power of His Word. Picture yourself walking in your benefits. Picture yourself filled with His power encouraging others in His love and life. That’s what the Kingdom of God looks like.
