The Substance of Hope

Mt of Olives in background

When your hope (2 Thessalonians 2:16) is anchored in God’s love , you’ll have greater peace in knowing His provisions are yours. Too often we think He isn’t concerned about us, or that He even is aware of our needs. But that isn’t what Matthew 6:25-26 NIV says: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear… Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap…yet your heavenly Father feeds them.” It’s time to connect your faith as the cement, the substance, with hope. Clint Byars puts it this way: “Faith believes to be true before it has the intellectual or physical corroboration. Faith then becomes the substance or building blocks of what one is hoping for. If one is hoping for what we’ve inherited in Jesus, then it’s a matter of confidence in Christ until the manifestation happens.” Anchor your hope in Jesus’ completed work allowing your faith to deepen in the truth and reality of His Word and promises ready to be manifested in your life.
