Do You Seek Jesus Who Was Crucified?

Whom Do You Seek pic

But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified” (Matthew 28:5 NKJV). On Sunday morning, after the crucifixion of Jesus, Mary and Mary went to see the tomb. They did not expect to see what they saw but the tomb sealed and the body of Jesus still in the tomb. However, they saw an angel instead sitting on the stone that He had rolled away from the door. The guards were shaking and the two women were also confused. The angel told them not to be afraid. They had come to see Jesus who was crucified. The cross is the payment for our sins. The resurrection is the receipt. The cross is the pivotal point in history. All that Jesus did for us was because of the cross which we call the finished work. Some say that Jesus just died like all people have to do, but that wasn’t the end for Jesus. He arose. He’s risen, and is alive. He defeated death, and is the firstborn from the dead. We don’t just seek the crucified Jesus. We seek the Jesus who has risen and now sits at the right hand of the Father.
