Coffee Pot Transformation

Coffee Pot transformation pic

Too often we stay in the pattern of knowing we should change and be renewed as a believer, but we don’t get there. It’s a process…a process of growing in grace, or as Paul put it in 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NASB) “But we all…are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” It isn’t outward behavior that changes the inside of us. That only comes as we partake of our spiritual food—God’s Word. It’s like the old coffee makers of days past. You’d put the coffee grounds in the top, fill the container with water, plug it in and allow the hot water to flow over the grounds, creating something different—coffee—from the 2 components. The more you allow the Word of God to flow over and into you, to engage your mind, change your thinking, and filter down into your heart (from where you really believe)—that’s when renewal begins. It’s the Word of God’s love and grace, of His acceptance, favor, and blessings—His image—that opens your heart to receive what He’s already done for you. Then it’s operating from what’s been deposited in your heart. It’s the knowing that you know that you know aspect; and that’s when His Word renews your thinking to His image and His glory so you can enjoy all of His goodness.
