Just A Thought for December 9December 9, 2016
“For out of the abundance of his heart, his mouth speaks (Luke 6:45, ESV). I’ve often said you can tell a lot about a person if you just listen to what they say, and it’s true. What you’ve allowed in your heart can’t help but come forth because it is the seat of your believing. Your mind can agree with your heart over even a lie if you’ve planted that belief in your heart. Many believers have only changed their thinking but not totally their hearts. You can have head knowledge of spiritual matters, but if you haven’t fully engaged your heart in believing the Word, you’ll be lopsided, spiritually speaking. Lopsided believers as I term it don’t pay attention to what they say. They’re quick to say they believe. They have head knowledge but not heart knowledge reality. The Word resides in their head but it hasn’t become anchored in their heart. Don’t be lopsided. Become grounded in the Word, convinced of its truth that what God says is true, and get your heart in agreement.
