By Grace Through Faith

Everything comes by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8). “For whatsoever is not of faith is sin” (Romans 14:23). Although God has already forgiven all our sins, sin is anti-faith. “But without faith it is impossible to please him” (Hebrews 11:6). So everything flows by grace through faith—everything. So when we see statements in scripture such as Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another (NKJV)”, which can only be done by grace through faith. Grace is God’s part. He has already accomplished that through the finished work of Jesus on the Cross. Now grace must do a work in our hearts so that from the vine of Jesus we produce the fruit of kindness. Kindness can’t be just accomplished as a commandment. Kindness is in our hearts and we must bring it out by faith. You can’t try to be kind, you are already kind so you have to be kind by faith. Just as you received salvation by faith, you are kind by faith believing kindness will flow from you as believe that God’s grace is working in you. Don’t look at these things scripture says to do as something you have to do. Look at them as something that is within you and by faith you allow them to flow from His grace.
