Does it sometimes seem that there are challenges you might not be able to meet? If you’re like me, you may feel inadequate at times. I think it’s normal. Life has a lot of challenges. Day-in and day-out you can encounter numerous challenges. The key to overcoming challenges is to take them one step at a time. It’s like the children’s question of how do you eat an elephant? You eat it one bite at a time! Well, that makes sense, doesn’t it? The same goes for overcoming challenges. Too often we think in terms of the WHOLE thing and are overwhelmed in how immense it is. That’s when we need to step back and look at it in steps or stages. In order to get to the END, you will have to complete A, B, and C. You don’t start out trying to do C before you’ve completed A or B. Why? Because you probably won’t be able to since you don’t have all the information or experience to jump right over to C. Breaking down challenges into doable parts is essential for your peace of mind plus for the logistical application of working it out.
Throughout the Bible there are countless examples of Godly men and women who faced challenges but who were victorious in seeing them through because they didn’t let the situation overwhelm them. Don’t ever feel that God isn’t there to help you. He’s always there….HE’S IN YOU. You’re never away from Him because He resides in you. He’s there to love and support you, to enable you with His strength and grace to do what you’ve been called to do. When you try to do things by yourself, you’ll usually end up frustrated and failing. But when you factor in Jesus, relying on Him, He’ll see you through, and you’ll have greater victory and success.
Whatever you’re facing this month, you CAN do it! Philippians 4:13 emphatically states, “I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME.” That means through the inexhaustible power, strength, and grace of Jesus working IN you, YOU can do all things. Meditate on this verse, and see His strength enabling you, His peace surrounding you, His wisdom guiding you as you move forward. Whatever challenge that is before you, I know you CAN DO IT!
