The Gift Of Ministry

Let us use the gift God gave us. It might be the serving gift. “6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness” (Romans 12:6-8 NKJV). If you have the gift of ministry, then use your gift. We get our word deacon from the Greek word, but this is far more ranging then being a church deacon, although it could be. It is the ministry of serving. Most churches need many helpers to serve the needs of the congregation. Ushers, Sunday school helpers, soup kitchen assistants, maintenance, landscaping, car repair, and the list goes on. You might serve other people rather than just the church. Most people have a gift in this category. You may not prophesy,or teach but you can serve. This is a gift of grace and is certainly needed, so if you have this gift use it and be a blessing to others.
