“(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)” (Ephesians 5:9). Here is a verse that describes the fruit of the Spirit. It is God in you. He is goodness, righteousness, and truth. The fruit which grows in you is goodness, righteousness, and truth. It manifests as fruit, not works. Works are man’s attempts to grow fruit. It might deliver an occasional goodness, but unbelievers can do that. Any attempt is dead works. Good works come from within. It is a result of righteousness working in you. That means not your agenda, but God’s agenda for you.
