Deep Into Your Heart

A friend of mine whose young son had open heart surgery when he was a baby goes for periodic checkups with his heart doctor. On one of his early visits, he told the doctor Jesus lives in his heart. Each year as the doctor puts the stethoscope to the youngster’s heart, he smiles assuring him Jesus is still in his heart. Proverbs 4:20-22 NLT says, “²⁰My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. ²¹Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, ²²for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body.” That’s living from the inside out folks.
