So many times, we fold into ourselves, especially if we’re going through tough times. We focus on self which can keep us depressed but we need to change, renew our mind…repent which actually means changing your mind. So, instead of being focused inward, change your mind and focus your attention and His love IN you outwardly toward others. Every day you come across people who are hurting. They need encouragement. You may not even realize it but with a smile, a ‘have a blessed day’, you’ve just planted encouragement in someone’s life. Paul shared with Timothy that even in difficulties with people or situations, he should “preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2, NIV). Whatever season it is, whatever time in your life, be ready for opportunities to focus on others and not yourself. That’s living from the inside out.
