We’re all prone to it but we don’t have to give into it. It’s like watching the ocean and seeing dark clouds at the horizon. ‘Out there’ they don’t seem to bother you, yet as the winds increase, they move closer to shore, to you. That’s when we need to counter anxiousness, defined as fear of danger or danger of misfortune; greatly worried. Philippians 4:6 NIV makes it pretty clear how we should deal with anxious times: “Do not be anxious about anything”. The clouds on the horizon will soon be gone. God’s promise of peace and protection is your stronghold. Live in this truth when times of anxiety approaches and you’ll be an overcomer each time. That’s living from the inside out.
