“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things” (Philippians 4:8 NKJV). Other translations are worthy, right, righteous, honorable, and worthy of reverence. We often think of Congress and say “why don’t they just do what is right.” Unfortunately, everybody’s definition of right is different. The dictionary defines “right” as that which is “morally correct, just, or honorable.” There are many variables to what is right or just. The Word points you to right and just. Love helps define right. Love one another and you are more likely to do the right thing. Think about what is the right thing. Who is noble, just, and always right? Yep. You got it—Jesus. What would Jesus do? Believe right to think right.
