All you need to do is look outside and see the world in turmoil, unrest, without peace. We’re not to be moved—carried off with ‘what if’ thoughts—by what we see but as believers we’re to be settled in the reality of God’s finished work in us which includes Peace in our daily lives. Again, Romans 14:17 says that God’s kingdom is peace. His kingdom is full of peace. He is your peace.
Peace in kingdom living starts with a heart at peace because of God’s great gift in Jesus. It matures into receiving His peace each day, in every situation. It is His peace that passes all understanding, and that guards your heart through Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
You can’t fill your mind with fears and doubts and expect peace to rule. But when you fill your heart and mind with the truth that Jesus IS your peace, you’ll have His peace calming your mind and demolishing all fears. Renewing your mind in this truth will free you from fear, unrest, and turmoil.
