Summer is the time we think of vacationing, taking longer trips since kids are out of school. There’s something to be said about a more relaxed atmosphere and schedule, yet many aren’t privy to that. The season of summer can be filled with adventures, spiritual growth, joy as well as work. This season doesn’t have to be mundane.
On a recent trip across country we noticed several states were using wind turbines to generate power. It was unusual to see them in dry or desert locations, yet with available winds in those areas, they were helpful. They stood like trees in an otherwise dry area and reminded me of Psalms 1:3 ESV that says “He [the blessed person, highly favored by the Lord] is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”
You’ll flourish and be prosperous as you live in the reality of this verse throughout the summer months.
