Expressing His Love In Our Words

We’ve talked about speaking gracious words of life to people. Isn’t that what Jesus did? He didn’t pounce on the needy condemning them for being poor. He didn’t make anyone feel guilty. He would share a simple truth and would love the people. His example impacted lives because He was gracious, forgiving, accepting. Just ask Nicodemus.

Many people hated Nicodemus because of his profession, yet after spending just a little time with Jesus, he was ready to give back the money he’d taken. I’m sure if we could have been a fly on the wall back then, we would hear different words coming from his mouth as well.

James 3:6, NIV, says our tongue is a fire, a world of evil. It can corrupt the whole body and set the course of one’s life on fire.” So are we to cut out our tongues? NO!

Let’s express the love of Jesus with our words, no matter what the situation is. It’s something each of us can work on with God’s grace.
