“For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile” (1 Peter 3:10). There are many good admonitions in the Bible for us to pattern our lives. However, in this verse I want to focus on the first phrase, “For he that will love life.” We are seeing in this generation a disregard for life. Various movements in our culture are trying to focus on the idea that each life has meaning and is important.
As believers, we love life. God has created each person and has given him or her the breath of life. Each is a living soul loved by the Creator. God so loves the world.
Life is precious. Each morning as we eat breakfast and watch the news, we hear of the ones shot and killed. Sadly, another life snuffed out and sent into eternity. Let’s raise the importance of life. Every life matters and has a God-given destiny.
