“Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 1:1 NKJV). Paul knew that He was an apostle of Jesus because that was the will of God. Jesus chose Paul for an important task. The church was young and needed divine intervention in order to get it moving in the right direction.
Jesus needs a grace person to proclaim the name of Jesus. Jesus told Ananias “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel” (Acts 9:15 NASB). On the road to Damascus, Jesus apprehended Paul for His personal grace ambassador. By the gracious design of God, we had a person chosen to give us the great teaching of grace and is the writer of most of the New Testament. Paul knew God had chosen Him. Do you have that same knowledge that God has chosen you?
