Establishing Yourself

The other day we looked at Isaiah 54:14 and the righteousness of Jesus transferred to us as the establishing factor in our lives. So, how do you continue to establish yourself in this truth? The groundwork is already in your life as a child of God because of what Jesus has done for you. What comes next is working out that truth each day by renewing your mind in the Word.

Isaiah gives us another building block in this verse for our spiritual establishment. “…you shall be far from oppression.” Oppression can be defined as mental pressure, mental distress, persecution, or abuse. Even believers can be subject to oppression yet God said you would be far from oppression.

Oppression is a tool of the enemy attacking your thinking and feeding you lies opposite of God’s promises. You’ve got to change your thinking and meditations. Don’t continue filling your mind with negative, accusing, or condemning thoughts. Feed on the Word of His promises and you’ll be far from oppression of any kind.
