When you’re drawing or painting a picture, it’s important to focus on the object or scene. At times when I create my textured artwork, I’ll have a scene in front of me that I want to duplicate. It’s important to keep my focus as I paint and create trees, rocks, oceans, etc. If I’m not steadfast and careful, I find my picture gets distorted—all because I lost my focus on recreating the scene I want to share on canvas.
Isn’t that how it is in our lives? There’s so much in the world to get our focus ‘off center’, and if we allow our focus to shift, it warps and changes our perspective on life and even on God.
So, how do you keep your spiritual focus? You remind yourself daily who your God is, what Jesus has done for you. You replay when you’ve experienced His faithfulness. You feed on His Word, letting that build confidence and trust in your heart. When your focus is right, you’ll be strong and full of joy!
