It’s His Pleasure

^“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13 NKJV). It is God’s pleasure to work good for you and in you. Many people read this and think, God will do what He wants, and you have no choice in the matter. This is not about calling or career and God sending you off to Africa. He is working in you the image of Jesus. These are the character traits and the attitudes of Jesus God is working in you.

Everything happens in you. God works on our behalf in us. He has provided everything for us. Now we work it out. He even says he will assist us to take the benefits of salvation and work them out in our lives. He is not manipulating puppets, but He guides and leads His children into greater transformation and intimacy with Himself. It’s His pleasure to do so.
