Just A Thought – October 21
October 21, 2018Just A Thought – October 22
October 22, 2018We’re digging out the nuggets of Psalm 18:2 NKJV. “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
Sometimes the words used to describe God in the Old Testament are different from what we have now, although we can understand the strength of a rock and a fortress as protection. The more you think on this verse and what it means to you, the deeper understanding and better picture you have of your God.
Jesus is your rock, strong, sturdy, and immoveable. When you’re settled in Him, you won’t be moved, swayed, or thrown off by anything in the world. Jesus is your fortress, your hiding place. He is your protection when the world crushes in on you. You are safe in His presence, sheltered, protected, cared for. He’s your peace during difficulty.
Practice putting this verse into action and see Jesus as your protection this week.
