Just A Thought – November 21
November 21, 2018Just A Thought – November 22
November 22, 2018Today in the United States, we celebrate a day of THANKSGIVING. One of the first Thanksgiving days was in 1621 when the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast in the colonies. It has been celebrated as a federal holiday every year since 1863, when, during the American Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national day of “Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens.”
Thanksgiving is a way of life for most folks, especially believers. King David said it like this in Psalm 26:7, NASB, “That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving And declare all Your wonders.”
ENJOY this day of celebration in giving thanks to God and proclaiming with us His goodness, love, and grace. Happy Thanksgiving!
