Correcting Our Spiritual Alignment

Many people walk around with their back or spine out of line or alignment, often causing times of pain and suffering. I have a big toe that got out of alignment when I was young but I didn’t know it was out of alignment. I understand the difficulties of how not receiving alignment in your body can alter  your life. But not everyone needs alignment in their physical bodies.

However, we all are in need of continual spiritual alignment. If your spiritual alignment is off, you’re off balance. Something is missing, yet many people including believers don’t realize they’re off balance. Moreover, many don’t know how to correct it.

One of the first basic steps in correcting out of alignment in your spiritual walk is to make sure you know God and how much He loves you. Your life is really off-balance if you don’t know God’s love, grace, and eternal life. You’re walking around with something missing—His Son. Jesus is missing.

You may think this is too basic because you’ve been a Christian for many years, yet if you’ve missed truly knowing God’s immense love through Jesus for you, you’ve been out of alignment. Without His love operating in your life, you’re spinning your wheels at trying to be good and do good all on your own. You’re off balance.

And being off-balance can keep you from fully operating in His provisions—God’s goodness, His blessings and favor through Jesus.

Picture getting your physical body adjusted and aligned. Where pain and suffering were prominent before, you no longer have those symptoms. You now feel so better with less or no pain.

That’s a similar picture for spiritual alignment. When you realign your spiritual life and receive God’s love through Jesus, your whole world changes. The difference is night and day. No longer is your perception of life messed up. No longer do you have an attitude that God doesn’t care about you, that God isn’t real. You are transformed as a dearly loved child of God. Even John 3:16 becomes much more personal and full of greater meaning for you. Jesus came to show the Father’s LOVE and help people connect with His goodness.

TRUTH: When you know Jesus, all that God has is available to you. You are a child of God. You’re not the old you that you once were. You’re a brand new creation, created in the likeness of Jesus. You’ve been transformed through God’s power and love. It’s time to continue walking with renewed eyes in all that God has for you, coming more into spiritual alignment each day with His provisions.

Understand that nothing will change until you change your mind about how good God is. Nothing will change until you renew your thinking about who you are in Jesus as a child of God. It’s time to think differently. It’s time to get your spiritual walk aligned to all the God possibilities that await you this year.

APPLICATION: Until you renew your mind in God’s goodness and blessings, you’ll remain where you are. But each time you receive God’s Word and plant it in your heart, you’re spiritually realigning to all that God has for you.

Continue meditating on these verses, strengthening your heart in the power of God’s Word working in your life.

John 3:16 – NASB– “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

Make It Personal: God loved the world AND me and gave Jesus. Because I believe on Jesus, I am assured of eternal life.

Mark 9:23 NASB – “All things are possible to him who believes.”

Make It Personal: All things of God are possible to me because I believe.

Galatians 2:20 – NASB “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

Make It Personal: I no longer live as a sinner but as a child of God with Jesus living in me. Because of this I live by faith in Jesus because He provided my salvation.

2 Corinthians 5:17 – NASB “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”

Make It PersonalSince I am now IN Christ, I am a new ME. My old life and ways are behind me, and God has new and better things ahead for me.
