God’s Never Ending Blessings

Have you ever unwrapped a gift, perhaps at Christmas, and found a gift but also discover there’s another wrapped gift also in the box? I’m sure you can picture this scenario. You open the second wrapped gift, and again you see another wrapped gift. You continue opening different wrapped gifts finding even more gifts as you progress.

This is the picture the Lord gave me when I meditated on all of His blessings the other morning. You see, God’s blessings are like this illustration. Your initial gift of salvation is amazing and exciting, and as you grow spiritually and recognize God’s got even more for you, you want to open the next gift and the next, and the next.

You’ve probably moved from receiving and walking in your salvation through His grace by faith, and now you’re understanding the power of the Word (it’s God-breathed!). You may have personally experienced the power of the Holy Spirit at work through the expression of His gifts in church, and deepened your faith through the Word of Faith teachings. These expressions of God’s immense love and blessing build further on each revelation of who He is, and who He is through Jesus.

God continues to reveal Himself today. His His immense love and grace enables our hearts to see, understand, and walk in our New Covenant blessings through Jesus. Paul explains it like this in Ephesians 2:4-9 NASB. “4But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5made us alive with Christ even we being dead in trespasses—by grace you are saved—6and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7so that in the ages to come [now and continuing] He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”

The amazing thing in unwrapping God’s blessings is they NEVER RUN OUT or stop. They continue to INCREASE. It’s time to dig into the expanse of God’s love, of His blessings in Jesus, and unwrap what is yours. Don’t stay where you are but keep moving forward in your faith. You’ve only scratched the surface. God has so much more for you.
