Practicing No Fear

Every day we need to put into practice what we are learning in the Word. If you missed the last devotion, Fear Not, I encourage you go read it or reread it. The more you practice replacing thoughts of the Word the stronger you’ll be in defeating the enemy’s attempt to get you into fear.

Remember, you’re a child of God. You’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You are free from fear because you’re grounded and surrounded in His love. Don’t doubt what He proclaims to you in His Word. Receive it, act on it, and declare it to yourself.

The scriptures listed below will give you further ammunition against fear.

1 John 4:18, NIV – “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

Psalm 34:4, NLT – “I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.”

Psalm 118:6-7, NIV – “6The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid…7The LORD is with me; he is my helper.”

Isaiah 41:10, NIV -“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Philippians 4:6-7, NLT – “6Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

2 Timothy 1:7, KJV – “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Use these scriptures any time to further cement His truth in your heart; then watch fear flee from you.
